Golf Practice
Session Builder
A little time. One skill. Something useful to work on.
Choose where you're practising, how long you have and the part of your game you want to work on. Get a short session with a clear task, a simple way to measure it and a final challenge.
You don't need to work through your whole bag. Start with one thing you can pay attention to, then give each attempt a purpose.
Make your next
practice count.
Your notes stay on this page while it is open. Use Copy session to keep your plan and result.
Give yourself something
you can notice.
Make the target achievable
Choose a fairway, landing area or putting distance that gives you a reasonable chance. If almost every attempt misses, make the task easier before trying to work harder.
Keep the measure consistent
A bigger target will usually produce a better score. If you want to compare sessions, use the same distance, target size and conditions where possible. Write down what you used.
Let each attempt finish
Watch the result, step away and choose the next shot. A useful pre-shot routine gives you a familiar way to prepare without adding a list of swing instructions.
Finish knowing what you practised, what happened and what you'd like to repeat next time.
A plan for the time
you actually have.
You have a spare ten minutes
Choose one manageable task and finish with a few scored attempts. A short session can still have a clear beginning and end.
You arrive without a plan
Build your session before hitting the first ball. Knowing what you're measuring makes it easier to avoid working through the bucket on autopilot.
You practise at home
Use a suitable net for contact work or a putting space for starting direction. Choose a task your setup can actually show you.
You want to repeat something useful
Copy your session and result. Next time, start with the same conditions before deciding whether to make the challenge harder.
